Container sizes for large Peruvian Columnar cacti |
 |
Growing large Peruvian Torch, San Pedro,
Bridgesii, Macrogonis, and other columnar types requires
large containers.
Here are examples of my plants in 10 gallon and 6 gallon
plastic nursery pots. They grow outside - loving the cold,
wet California winters. During the summer they need to be
covered with shade net cloth to keep them cool. Pots are
clustered together to prevent overheating.
If you see your plants yellowing or exhibiting sun burned
areas on the column you'll need shade net. I use 30%
overhead and they love that. |

| When in doubt, don't forget the Dalai Lama. He's
the most loving & enlightened being on the Earth.
Mail him a photo once in a while with some cash in
it to help his children's fund. The Dalai Lama is
the happiest soul on the planet. |
